Meet some of the Amazing EAF Summer Camp Team

Position: Leader

About Me:

I love my dog (Kevin!), playing soccer and hanging out with friends. I am entering my fourth year at the University of Guelph where I study Brain and Cognition. I am very involved in cognitive neuroscience research at the University and plan to extend this into graduate school or study occupational therapy.

Favourite thing about working at EAF: Our AMAZING clients!

I have been a staff for Extend-A-Family since the ninth grade and have had the opportunity to watch our clients grow, reach their goals and set new ones.  Through my experience at EAF, I have supported some of the most kind, talented, resilient and unique individuals I have ever met. Our goal it to promote a safe and integrative environment for children and adults to have fun and explore their community.

Position: Leader

About Me: Diploma of Social Service Work from Humber College
I grew up in Kingston for the most part and have previous experience leading outdoor and artistic programming for children and adults with disabilities.
My personal interests include: the arts and outdoor activities.

My favorite thing about working at EAF: watching everyone work together to be the best and happiest they can be (sometimes with out knowing it, kinda like a real family).

Position: Physical Activity Leader

About Me: I am a third year Physical and Health Education Student at Queen's University. I hope to become a biology and physical education teacher at the high school level. I am from Kingston and I play hockey for the Kingston Voyageurs.

Favourite thing about working at EAF: Getting to spend my summer with such incredible campers and staff ... and going to the splash pad.

Position: Program Counsellor

I am currently finishing my first year at Queen's University with the goal of becoming a high school teacher. Before University, I was a competitive dancer and an avid member of the Holy Cross Arts Department - I was a member of the musicals, dance team and improv team. I try to stay busy but in my down time I love being surrounded with my friends and family. And of course, I can't forget one of my favourite places to be - Extend-A-Family!

I am originally from Napanee, Ontario. I am currently in the process of completing my Undergraduate Degree in a double major of Psychology and Sociology at Trent University. I hope once this is completed to further my education with a Masters in Social Work. Overall, I have loved my experience working at EAF, as well as all the amazing clients and staff I get to work with. I have created so many memories and friendships and couldn’t ask for a better summer job.

Position: Program Counsellor

I have worked for EAF for almost 2 years in the children’s program. I graduated Regiopolis High School in 2016 and am currently completing my Bachelor's Degree in Behavioural Psychology at St. Lawrence.
